🌿 Cardinal Love

🌿 Do you have cardinals in your neighborhood? A lovely family lived in our old backyard, and they sang and danced from tree-to-tree. Sometimes they even perched on the hedges and peeked inside our windows as if to say, "Hello, in there! Would you like to be friends?"

Cardinals mate for life and share parenting duties. They live in the same area year-round. Baby cardinals learn to fly after only a week or two, then stay with their parents for another 1-2 months. Some live up to 15 years, but a three-to-five year lifespan is more typical.

To attract cardinals, plant yellow flowers and put out safflower and sunflower seeds. They are grateful and will remember your kindness.
